Hi Lauren,
Snowboarding is over for me this season and i definitely am having withdrawals.
I found your sight while surfing the net for something to ease the pain of the
end of winter. I ruined the last few weeks of the season for myself this year
with an elbow injury that could have been prevented if I would have taken the
time to rest and get some food. Its a wake up call when you eat {snow} on a hit
that you should have stomped easy. You have some good tips on you sight and I'm
seriously thinking about getting more protective gear for the upcoming season.

Thanks for providing such a great website for snowboarders. I found
information that i was unable to find anywhere else, like how to get fit. Your
site has sparked more influence for me to get out there and to get all the right
equipment so i would suffer less injuries. One last thing...is Shaun White as
hot in real life as he is on tv and in pictures? THANKS ~krazie kelley

Hi Lauren,
I love your site! I'm a 28-year-old personal trainer (specializing in fitness
for older women) and also a yoga instructor and I am finally going to try
snowboarding this season. I've been training for two weeks with a similar
program (that I have designed) to what you have on your site, and I have to say,
I am really enjoying it. I have discovered in my internet research that there
isn't a lot of specific information on training for this sport, and have to
commend you on your Getting In Shape page. Thanks!

Lauren,
You have a great site. I am relatively new to the sport and always looking for
new info. I have picked up several good tips from your site. Thanks for making
"Secrets" available.
One request: Have you considered adding wax and tuning equipment for sale? Your
tuning tips are good, but finding some of the items is difficult.
Thanks

happened on January 6th 2005 and he lived for 8 days and died on January
14th. He loved the sport and so do I and I think you guys are doing a great
job of getting the word out that our sport is dangerous no matter how old or
how good you are. Helmets...Helmets! Please! Keep up the awesome work! Lots

Comment: Lauren,
Nice website. I read an article in the Rocky Mountain Post (12/22/04) captioned "Teton adds Wrinkle to Snowboarding".
I wish there was a site like that when I started 4 years ago. I broke both your rules. I didn't take a lesson AND didn't wear protection.
Yeah my ass hurt for a week and it took much longer than it should for me to put together a turn.
Yet, friends always seemed to help me out. Still my biggest resource of learning.
One day with an Ex-Breck snowboard instructor/drinking buddy and I was transformed from a face-planting Gromet to
Glade running Super-freak by the end of that season.
When I finished reading the article I immediately thought of my friend Jeff who has skied for years,
and like some biological clock he wants to learn snowboarding "before it's to late".
So I sent him your link so he doesn't make the same mistakes I made. I just hope he has a good time. I hope the site will help him.
Oh, and the Registry thing is a great idea.
My friend Chris from Texas had his new board stolen at Copper this past Thanksgiving!
Only rode it three times. Sent him the link too as well.
