Grenade Crew visits Mountain Creek, 2/16/07 for
"Grenade Strikes Back"
Danny and the Crew come back to his first home mountain and run a
competition
Danny Kass, Dennis "Sketchy D," The Dingo, other friends, and
filmers galore visited Mountain Creek to find the winners of their
competition to make famous.
The GSB rail jam Friday night was pretty sick.
Retard Riot and Kill Cheerleader were playing at the base of the course
while about 60 kids competed in a rail jam for the first shot at winning a
trip to the Grenade Games in Cali this april. It was a close competition,
but in the end, Emery Callison came out on top. Also congrats to Jared Baker
for winning Best Trick for his frontflip off the couchrail.

Danny Kass's Favorite Foods
Danny Kass hails from Vernon, NJ, and of course Mountain Creek in Vernon was
his home mountain before he moved west.
Little Anthony's is where he liked to stop for good food after a skate or
snow shred sesh. It's where we like to stop on our trips to Mountain Creek
too.
Be sure to order a #99 when you go in. That's the
secret code name. It's not called that on the menu, but it's Danny Kass' favorite sandwich; grilled chicken with mushrooms, Swiss, and
pesto mayonnaise. Danny even cooks these up at home in Mammoth when he can't
get them in NJ. Taylor Ham is Danny's other hometown food fave. We hear he
sometimes has Taylor Ham sent out to CA when he and Sketchy D are craving a
taste of home.
Saturday's
Slopestyle comp featured about 80 total riders competing in a slopestyle
pro/am format on the Independence run. The comp featured the park debut of Creek's
massive stairstet and local riders threw down as they went head to head for
the coveted trip to CA. 22 year old Tim Kempson of Vernon took home the
honors, and we wish him luck at the Grenade Games.
