1. New on our Sites / and Lauren in the Press
An awesome new picture by Ziggy will be up on my home page by tmw (Wed.).
It's Yale Cousino and Chris Rotax sliding 2 rails side by side at the
Burlington VT City Center Rail Jam Nov. 11. They only pulled off this trick
successfully once that night, and Ziggy risked his life to bring it to you.
Take a look!
Hey teenage girls - 2 new TWIN (!) heartthrobs (oh, you don't know that
word, do you?) have posted their profile up on my site. Check out
http://www.snowboardprofiles.com/
then click on O'Leary. Yum!
Lauren in the Press
I was quoted in Fit Yoga, Nov. issue saying how
yoga helps me with my snowboarding because it helps me practice balance,
flexibility, and relaxation. I do mean it. Yoga helps me be a better
snowboarder. You probably know, I'm no spring chicken. Cluck.
Last Saturday, I had a short segment on Peter Greenberg's national radio
show "Travel Today with Peter Greenberg." Peter is the also the travel
editor of NBC. I talked on air about how Boardercross will be a new Olympic
Event this winter, and how snowboarding is a great sport for adults to
enjoy. I hope to be a guest again in the future. Thanks Dominique!
I went to the big Snow Sports Show in Boston Friday. Saw my friend Max
Henault and his girlfriend Marisol doing their trampoline demo with their
team. It was incredible. Max and a teammate both bounced ON their snowboards
and did multiple flips. Marisol has PERFECT athletic form. Quite a sight.
Happy Thanksgiving!

2. Elijah Teter Critically Injured
Elijah Teter, of the famous Teter Snowboard clan and US Snowboard team
member was critically injured on Nov. 12 when he had an accident at Whistler
involving high speed and rocks.
Our very best wishes to him for a speedy and full recovery.
I rode with him when he was helping out at Tricia Byrnes' Snowboard Camp at
Stratton Mountain, VT
in 2004. See Elijah, me and my fellow campers in the gondy
here

OK, this time I'm giving my Szine readers a decent amount of advance notice.
So no excuses!

5. Snow This Week in East
My meteorologist buddy Jim Roemer's new weather website just went live. He's
predicting serious weather and lots of snow this week for the Eastern US. He
says:
Two nor'easters have the potential to bring the central and northern Green
Mountains of Vermont at least 18-24" of snow, over the next 5-6 days, and in
some places, 3 feet, according to Jim Roemer, meteorologist and owner of
BestSkiweather.com.
"I am very confident that ski areas around Jay Peak, and possibly Stowe and
Whiteface Mountain will be blanketed with at least 18-24" at Sugarbush and
Killington, and even a foot or more of snow at Okemo from these two systems.
Even southern Vermont ski resorts, such as Mt. Snow and Ascutney could see
6-12", with their best chance being from the second system later Friday and
Saturday."
Put BestSkiweather.com on your list of favorites for checking weather.
