Q. Right size board for 9 yr old?

Dear Lauren

I'm a beginner to intermediate snowboarder. My son is a 9yr old who is intermediate to advanced in freestyle and racing. This year he is in need of a new board, but it seems that there are only beginning type of boards available in the 120 ish range of boards. Do you know of a board that is for advanced riding in that size?  John

Dear John,

For your son, have you checked the Burton line? They have a wide range, and I know they sponsor Luke Mitrani, who is young and small. I don't any know any other specifics offhand, why not check with a few snowboard shops? I have a list here http://www.whatsonsnow.com/shops.php.

Also, buyers guide issues of snowboard mags would have sizes listed. best regards, Lauren
