Zephyr offers Camp Snowboard for Adults and Families
Red Lodge, MT– Travel operator Zephyr Adventures is promoting a series
of weekend instructional “camps” for adults in 2007. Zephyr Camp Snowboard
will roll out in February at seven separate ski resorts. The cost for
either camp is $239 per person.
The idea behind both camps is to create a non-competitive, relaxed
atmosphere where adult beginners can learn a new activity in the company
of other adults. The camps feature small group sizes and professional
instructors who are skilled working with sometimes-nervous adults.
“As we age, it is important to remain both physically and mentally
active”, says Zephyr Camp Snowboard director and certified snowboard
examiner Reno Walsh. “Learning a new sport is a great way to do both and
that is one reason the number of adult snowboarders increases each year.”
Although kids are welcome, the focus of these camps is on fitness-minded
adults. Tentative at first, most participants quickly realize they are in
the same situation as everyone else in the class and settle down to a fun
weekend. The typical camp day includes lots of laughter as participants
encourage each other and dare to get outside their normal comfort zones.
