The Flexmeter Pipe Guard Glove is a short "pipe glove" style snowboard
glove. Take a close look at the photo. The wrist guard splint actually
extends beyond the edge of the glove, allowing you to tuck the splint
beneath the wrist of your jacket, for style points, comfort, and warmth.
The glove is stylish in black and light gray, with padded knuckles and a
strap around the wrist and one for the arm. (Wrist guard
splint is NOT removable from glove.)

The Flexmeter Flexible Single Wrist Guard has one
splint, found
on the back (dorsal) side of the hand to prevent
hyper-flexion. The splint flexes at the wrist to act like a "seatbelt" and
allow your wrist to bend forward "so far" in a fall, but helps prevent it
from going "too far." There is no splint on the palm side. This is the model
wrist guard that was tested and found to reduce snowboard wrist injuries by
67%. The low profile fits a little more easily under your
gloves than the All Season Guard mentioned below.

The Flexmeter Flexible Wrist Guard has the signature
flexible Flexmeter
splint, found
on the dorsal (knuckle) side of the hand to prevent
hyper-flexion and a light flexible palm-side guard molded in a curved
shape with air space over the palm for added impact protection on hard
surfaces.
The
Flexmeter All Season Guard looks exactly the same as the Flexmeter Single
Splint Wrist Guard. The light palm protection is via a flexible material
about 3/8 inch thick which is embedded in the fabric, so it won't even show
up in a photograph. The removable "slide guard" is a plastic piece about the
size of a large coin, affixed by Velcro and removable for use under gloves.
There is also a removable smooth
triangular shaped slide guard attached by Velcro on the palm side. Use this
guard for skateboarding, in-line skating, etc.- any sport where you wear a
wrist guard without a glove. The slide guard will keep you moving
forward in a fall, instead of getting snagged on the ground, which can cause
more wrist stress. And the slide guard will help protect the fabric on
the wrist guard. Pull the slide guard off when you snowboard and wear your
snow gloves over the Flexmeter wrist guard. (You will need a roomy glove to
fit over your Flexmeter wrist guard. We also carry a glove with wrist guard
built-in. See above.)
